Ron Baker

Ron joined the United States Air Force (1985-89) out of high school and spent four years there loading and unloading cargo planes, learning how to drive every kind of cargo loading vehicle the Air Force had to offer and learning how to load plan the cargo planes so that they don’t crash, you know, it’s a weight and balance thing.

From the Air Force he went to work at KTH, an auto parts manufacture for Honda, where he worked in fuel tank department maintenance and was responsible for maintaining, programing, trouble shooting and repairing weld and paint robots along with several other pieces of machinery.  After a few years I transferred to the facilities department to where I was responsible for everything on the property.

While he was working at KTH he began helping with his father’s successful Locksmith shop.  He enjoyed the trade so much he decided to leave KTH in 1995 and started his own business (Baker’s Locksmith) in a different town, so as not to compete with his father.

It started out with just Ron for a few years, and he did everything from unlocking cars, making car keys, rekeying repairing and installing residential locks as well as commercial locks and hardware, safe opening and combinations changed, creating master key systems, emergency lock outs both residential and commercial, basically if it had to do with a key or a lock, he did it.  He ran the business alone until his son, Kyle, joined the shop in 2013.

In 2023, Ron joined Lockmasters Security Institute as one of our Technical Instructors for our Professional Locksmith and GSA training courses.
